I was wondering if there was a quicker way to end up with the selected cone resting on the selected cube but not otherwise intersecting it. I see the Align Selected to Active function and that works for centering objects based on origin points. I suppose I could change the origin point of the two objects and then using that function, but that doesn’t seem much faster than just thwacking an orthographic camera key and doing it manually.

In a simple case like this, I’d just set my snapping to vertex, closest, then drag the cone down snapping to a corner vertex of the plinth. Indeed, I do stuff like this a lot.

Works for me - thank you colkai!
