All black background?

I downloaded this model from BlendSwap: http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/50988

When I open it in Blender, the background is all black. I can’t see the grid or anything except the object. How do I get the grid back and get rid of the black?

When in 3d view press N to show the properties panel. Under the Display section turn off ‘Only Render’ option
