What I am trying to accomplish:
I want to fade in a plane that has a texture. The texture itself also has an alpha channel.
When I keyframe the alpha attribute (Texture > Diffuse > Alpha) at a value, then keyframe it with the value I want it to change to in another frame, the both keyframes reset the the same value. I cannot get that value to “animate.”
If I change this slider by hand, it changes the opacity of the texture, like I want it to animate. Also, strangely, I can get the correct curve in the animation F-Curve editor, but it does not render with the appropriate value from there, or update the alpha value when I select the current frame.
