alpha problem?

let me talk on the images:

the object between the planes can not get light even the above layer is transperent.is it normal?

note:on pictues ,i am doing some experiments to make a rotoscope:)

For the above plane try turning on Ztransp in the material buttons.

also turn on TraShadow for the sphere

ztransp was allready turned on.trashadow solved the problem.thank you very much.

note: it works ,but not with yafray… :-?
