Hello guys i tried making some product in cycles just for practice.
here is a problem…
I did the material of the bottle(in a variety of nodes)
Then the Tag of the product that goes in the bottle in alpha. (in another variety of nodes)
To mix the alpha texture (which is the tag of the product) in top of the normal material of the bottle i tried using a mix shader… so this mixes it… But the problem is that both… the tag and the material have opacity reduction.
i cant figure out how to get the tag int he bottle without opacity changes.
You’re mixing the tag material 50:50 with a transparent material so of course it will become transparent.
It would be easier for someone to give a specific solution if they had access to your blend file and texture but you’ve deliberately decided not to make them available. Maybe you should do that rather than bumping your own thread. It’s alright bumping if you added more useful info but again you haven’t even bothered to do that.
here is what I have been using… glass box and test image on the box w/ alpha. credit goes to a bunch of folks on the forums but I cant recall where I saw the node setup

i know i am mixing it, its called mix shader. but i didnt find any other solution, and thanks for being so rude, i really had no problem on posting the .blend, but i see you know everything about what people think and about what they are willing to do.

Thank you spatdsg that really did fix this problem, thanks for your time mate!
shotforce, can you see how many post Richard has made here. Most of them are offers of help. And we see the same errors over and over. Sometimes a quick google would get faster results. If you have a look around on the help threads you may notice that people profer their .blensd files (or an example) so that others have more to work with.
Really most people here want to help, and sometimes it seems like groundhog day. I hope that you got a great solution worked out! look forward to seeing you in the gallery.
