Alpha transparency turns black, any fix?

Using the import images as planes addon, I’m importing images of pre-animated characters and objects to use in a 3d scene. I have noticed that If I put enough of these planes in front or behind each other, eventually the part of the image that is alpha transparent will turn black. This isn’t good for me because I was going to use many more planes as props and environment assets. But if there are too many alpha channels over each other then then turn darker and you can see the bounding box of the sprite.

You need to set the transparent bounces higher:
