Alt key doesn't work in Ubuntu [SOLVED]

For Linux Mint 21 the you can change the systems “move window” from ALT to ALT+SUPER with
gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.wm.preferences mouse-button-modifier '<Super><Alt>'
So you can loop select again

Thanks for the tip. I might try Mint; I’m presently using Mate, after abandoning Lubuntu due to its lack of any way
to manage the menu. Somebody told me about Mate, I tried it and fell in love with it. But I could certainly switch
to Mint 21 when using Blender. I have basically been lost from Blender since a decade ago, when it changed its
interface from version … 2.7 was it? Before that I used to work many hours a day with Blender, I was producing
space ships and stations for a game like there was no tomorrow. Then the interface changed and I was never
able to get my head around the new interface.
