I’ve just recently started using blender and have an interface frustration - I hope I’m just unaware of the right way to do it…
I’d like to be able to click on a vertex of my mesh and then have the viewport rotate about that point. Is this at all possible in blender?
For a reproducible scenario of what I’d like to do:
- File>New (ie, empty cube file)
- Left click a “corner” of the cube so that the target icon is on that corner.
- Middle-click-and-drag to rotate about that point such that the vertex I clicked is at the center of rotation (ie, it stays at the same pixel on the screen while the rest of the cube rotates around it).
I’ve checked the help but it only mentions “turntable” and “trackball” type rotation, neither mode seems to let me do what I’ve described above.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Sven.
