Hi,
I am getting sick and tired of Windows explorer as a file manager. I was wondering if anyone else out there could tell me what (free) file managers you use on windows and why you like them.

FreeCommander. Its free and make a good job.
The free version of xplorer2 dual pane manager. Best I know of -have used this for years now. Too many features to mention here but there’s a chart at the download link below.

yes, it is definitely a good software.
Agent Ransack
For searching and basic file manipulation.
It’s fast, good feature set, it doesn’t “phone home” (unlike explorer).

I should add that it integrates nicely with windows shell (context - right click- menus work)
