Am I approaching facial rigging correctly?

Hey everyone!

So I am trying to learn how to make a facial rig for the first time and I just wanted to know if I am on the right track.

Here is a picture of it atm:

I am using bendy bones for the lips, nose, eyelids, and eyebrows. I am using regular bones for the cheeks and jaw.

I am just curious, see those little bones I just have under the nose and above the mouth? Should I keep those little bones like that (as just individual bones) or should I actually connect the bones and make those little bones controllers instead?
