I installed blender in my computer by typing apt-get blender…. from a terminal. Im running xunubntu linux at 64 bits and I want to know if the version I got and isntalled is the 64, how can I know?
Well, open another terminal and type: apt-cache show blender
You´d better go to www.graphicall.org and download one of the Optimized builds for 64 bits. There you will surely find some build optimized for your system. Keep in mind that an optimized build may render things up to 30 or 40 percent faster…
