AMD officially unveiling its Threadripper 2 processors (up to 32 cores)

It looks like the 32 core threadripper got a big boost in gaming when in Creator mode, and all it took was a bugfix in the latest drivers from Nvidia.

In a way, this makes it the overall best processor for creators who game on the side (it is now on par with Intel’s 18 core chip).

Even then, there should be more performance in rendering in the works too if Microsoft releases a fix for the scheduling issues in Windows 10, making the chip a far better deal than at launch.

Yeah, this is from PCPer. Which brings a general question, did anyone even test the setup with AMD GPU ? or would that have similar problems?

Still Nividia and lack of proper Driver testing does happen, Vista being (historically speaking) the biggest disaster that caused 90% of BSOD.

Still, wonder if the rumourd x499 platform will alter it’s design to allow 8 channel memory so that each CPU module will get dedicatd memory unlinke now where 1/2 of them have to go through the other 1/2 of the CPU modules to get to memory.

Either way for rendering… DAM this CPU is one SEXy beast
