This is bad enough that, for now, I am considering the idea of my next build being an Intel/Nvidia machine (ie. just say no to Ryzen and Navi). I like what AMD has done to bring back the CPU wars, but between Intel’s amazing tech. (Embree and OIDN) and Nvidia’s solid drivers, perhaps there really is a pretty good reason why AMD is the smallest of the three (though if Navi MCM and Zen4 is as good as the hype surrounding them, then maybe people will choose to gloss over this).
If you are in the market for a new GPU, then you are actually better off getting a Ryzen APU or going back to Intel Integrated Graphics, because it is now obvious a scalper/miner proof GPU simply cannot be done without the actual card (unbelievably) being a downgrade in comparison.
