Amending linked UV faces...

Hi all.

I have started to UV map a character, but I may have mistakenly chosen a wrong face for a certain set. The pic below shows the face I missed for the shoulder pad.

The thing is, when I select one of the correct faces, choose to select the linked faces, all the shoulder pad faces show up.

So what can I do? add the extra face to the current UV set (again…?) or maybe see if the rogue face is inadvertently set as a UV set of its own, then delete it…

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
