Was playing around with ocean modifier and this is the result.
anywhere near to being realistic?
created in blender(cycles)
1200 samples
*edit:made some changes with the boat
and almost changed most of the scene.hope its better than the initial

Hi, here are some of the things I have picked up upon:
Model:
The wood have to be thicker, otherwise the boat’s going to brake easily or just sink.
There shouldn’t be any gaps in between the wood planks, otherwise water is going to get in and the boat will sink.
The wood planks have to be fixed somehow else, other wise the boat is going to fall apart and sink.
Also bump up the crease on the ends of the wood planks or add some loop cuts.
Materials:
Your bump map seems to be very low resolution.
You need a Diffuse texture for wood.
Watch Andrew Prices “Blender Guru” PBR materials tutorial, gonna help you in making realistic materials a lot.
Lighting:
In my opinion the intensity of the light should be raised.
I would highly suggest you to take a look at some reference before modeling the boat, here is one:
And finally concerning the ocean:
I feel like it has to be more transparent and less reflective.
Also just in my opinion the sea seems too calm during such a big wave, try and increase the size of the small ripples, here you go another reference:
Love the way you used that depth of field, hope I make sense, good luck making a float-able boat
At the very least I’d add a thicker gunwale, internal ribs, and a pair of seats to the boat. Those open joints between the hull planks need to be caulked.
