Anamorphic projection right or wrong

Hey guys, Im wanting to know if I am doing something correctly or if there is a better way to do it. Essentially I am trying to UV unwrap an anamorphic perspective for use on a print.

My current process:
I have a scene that I am currently ‘projecting from camera’ onto a flat plane. I am then UV unwrapping that projection and saving that image as a PNG or JPG.

If I want it to be super high-res is that the optimal way to achieve that?

That would also be my first thought: UV Project modifier…

in the output properties (scene tab) you can set the render output size and the aspect x and y
in this way you can render anamorphic footage out of blender.

say your anamorphic ratio is 1.33 for example you could change the x value in aspect to 1.33 to render anamorphicaly squeezed footage that matches your footage.

the inverse would also be true: to render out an un squeezed plate you set the y value to 1.33 instead. (and change the x and y resolution accordingly to avoid cropping.

edit: obviously load your footage into the sequencer or compositor first!

I thought (as not native english speaker) with Anamorphic projection the OP meant:

and not this:

(and properly not the biology category from the disambiguation page of wikipedia  )
