Arg! This is a knot!
/me goes back blending chrome balls on checkered floors…
Stefano
I didn’t know that someone could take “human knot” so seriously.
Excellent work, it really makes a bold statement. It would be cool to see this in “art-museum” style (maybe on a pedestal, or something).
:o whoua… Makes me think of the gates of hell by Rodin:

Pretty good.
Beautiful work basse. I really like this one.
CJ Material!!

:o
Your work is always got that artistic touch! I love it! Very very well done on this one!
I think it would be even better with a “grey rock texture” and on a pedestral of marble…like in a museum. I think it would be awesome
It’s up to you!
one more thing: :o
yeah, very nice
some playing around with shadows and lighting would even boost this i think
cya henrik
well shit, that is just brilliant! I like it a lot. can we get a wallpaper-sized render?
hey how about using a fleshtoned texture? that would make it a lot more interesting? or a not-quite-flesh-tone…
What a powerful artwork! My feelings went crazy when I saw that… wow!
on every single post of every single forum… ther is always something that scares me… why is one of the knot strings coming out of the middle guy’s crotch?
hahaha [ther is always something that scares me… why is one of the knot strings coming out of the middle guy’s crotch?] hahaha
Really interesting anatomic model!!!
seriously, it’s very artisic, and maybe it will be even more interesting with a better context (background, texture, gi, optical aberrations)
I really like a lot most of basse works (and i was really surprised when i noticed he works on linux)
nice model
well, this came out of the blue… thanks for all the replies!
s68: hmm… chrome balls on checkered floors… I have to give it a try too, after you have done yours ofcourse.
ray_theway: if you supply me the picture, or model of art museum, I gladly put that there
arnaud0: when you stack people up, it gets very easily biblical… but… wasn’t my intention… heh.
x-warrior: ok, if the slow day continues, I’ll try to make you a rockmarble version.
kaktuswasser: I played around with shadows and lighting… did it boost?
gr8redshark: I try to make fleshcolored one. what is your wallpaper size?
dmbadcat: if you are such a bad cat, you should know about that.

so, here is a different version…
little tweaking of lamps (I actually have light setup now, didn’t first thought it was necessary… heh… )
and I gave the guys a little texture…
for a bigger rendering: http://www.lib.hel.fi/~basse/tmp/knot_metal.jpg (or click the thumb)

hey i also wanna a replie… hehehe, no, don’t worry i was joking
But looking once again i had an idea if you will try to integrate it in a musseum or similar (i like a lot debevec reproduction of vatican…really background isn’t too important… just a blurred background classical building with marble floor and an interesting good illumination)
the idea was not to usea a pedestal, the shape doesn’t seems too stable to put it in a pedestal… maybe it should be better and even more artistic if the statue were suspended from a rope or a chain at the top “arm”
well, that’s only an idea
nice model again
Basse, you’ve done it again. I liked the first one but I really really like the second one.
Paradox
much better
basse:
:o :o Now, this version is completely outstanding. You outdid yourself! :Z :Z (I don’t know what they mean by Zorro, but surely it’s superior, no? )
Arnaud
5 z! :Z :Z :Z :Z :Z
The metal is vivid and glows! Wow!
Martin
good stuff basse!
too bad you never solved the AA artifacts issues…
this is something the coders must fix very soon !!
I am sorry to moan about this, but I cant code, sorry people!
