First time post in this section. Something I have wanted to try for a while. 100% hand painted in the GIMP. I will work on it a little more when time allows. I may crop the image a little more tighter to the face and concentrate on that area. See what you think.

The special effect is quite neat. I’ll hand you top marks for this. The lips don’t seem part and parcel of the face, and the “hand” texture is also out.
However what lets it down is that there is really no emotion or story or something like an investigation to really tug the viewer to your piece.
Look forward to what you come up with.
