These look really cool! The background image works well with the coins, too 
I can quite honestly say that, if I were shown this image, I would have no reason not to believe that it was a photograoh of real coins.
Only if cued into the presence of “the trick” would I consider that, in a real photograph, the top edge of the top coin probably wouldn’t “vanish into” the rock behind … although it could be realistically dismissed as an (undesirable) burned-out spot, e.g. caused by a slightly too-hot flash.
