Thanks so much not only for producing filmic blender, but also for taking the time to explain the more detailed parts of color management. I’ve been working with various luts and color pipelines for close to fifteen years now and always only had a tenuous grasp on what was actually happening. Your posts and embedded links have helped me improve my understanding. Thanks again.

One bit that you mention is the “notorious six”. Is that a description of color triplets that will never desaturate no matter how bright the values? For example 1, 1, 0 will always be saturated no matter what value you multiply it by because the 0 ensures that there will never be a blue component to the color? So even if illuminated by the brightest white light (say, 1000, 1000, 1000) the final result will be a fully saturated yellow?
