Hello, I’m Andrew Turtsevych
I am a professional Blender artist with a wide range of interests, particularly in content creation for brands involving VFX, CGI, virtual and augmented reality, and AI technologies. My artistic style is geometric and minimalistic, characterized by bold colors and clear lines. I’m also passionate about scientific illustration, fashion illustration, and character design, often experimenting with new 3D techniques.
I lead a research lab focused on AI, where in particular we developed the popular Neural Network Creator Addon for Blender.
As an educator, I regularly teach workshops on visual technologies and AI-driven tools. I am continually pushing the boundaries of illustration and visual expression, utilizing the latest advancements in Blender, such as the Eevee renderer and Geometry Nodes.
Some of my notable projects include:
↓One-line Portrait: An animation for a festival cover showcasing the creation of a man’s portrait in one continuous line (Eevee).
↓Dispersion Experiment: A study of how light passes through diamonds, demonstrating realistic light dispersion in Blender.
↓Geometry Nodes Hair Simulation: A character hair system using Blender’s Geometry Nodes, exploring the possibilities of procedural hair generation.
↓Gravitational Lensing by Two Black Holes in Space - Scientific 3D Rendering (Cycles)
Gravitational lensing is a phenomenon predicted by Einstein’s theory of general relativity, where a massive object like a black hole bends the light from objects behind it. In this 3D rendering, I’ve attempted to model this effect in Blender, creating a visualization where one black hole lenses another. This visual representation shows how space and light distort in the presence of massive gravitational fields.
