Angles and blender

Ok, to give a quick example of what I’m trying to do here, imagine a star destroyer from star wars, we all know what one looks like.

So you make the hull and now you want to add bits to the hull that lay flat and flush on it.

Now how do you do it? The hull is oddly angled along a couple axis’, how do you align the objects you’v made to match the hull’s angles exactly so they lay flush on it?

One way to do it is to cut the face and extrude. Make sure that you have “Individual Center” selected for Pivot so that extrude shape go out normally.

If you want to add additional objects you can use the snapping tools.
