If you sculpt an object or character, are you able to rig and animate it, or do you need to use another program such as ZBrush to do it and then use a displacement map?
I believe the multi-res needs to be applied (made permanent) before rigging.
You can’t animate using MultiRes, it just messes up everything when you get the model out of the rest position.
You’ll have to use displacement maps. You can do it in ZBrush, or if you want to use Blender, you can sculpt with MultiRes and then bake the Highres displacement to the LowRes mesh with a program like ORB or XNormal. I have just given you the link to a post where there’s a little explanation on how to do this.
