Animated fur/hair with particles - help me please

Hi… I’m new here, and before I start : Sorry for mu bad English :frowning:

I’m trying to animate this little furball
http://www.gameforum.com.br/images/Falqui/monstrinho5.jpg

The hair/fur is made with static particles. When I try to animate, the particles stay in place
I’ve tried to parent to another object, use bones, use Animation Key: Mesh , many things, but nothing works

It’s possible that there’s an explanation how to do that on the knowledge base, but I couldn’t find

I really apreciate if someone coudl help me.

The explication is simple. Particles are precalcullated and are only affected by IPOs.

I think Lyubomir did something to affect Particles with armatures, so you might want to ask him.

Since thet are STATIC particles, they remain STATIC, i.e…, they do not move.

This is what I was afraid about

This is what I was afraid about

But, it you do not press the “STATIC” button, they can move. I am no expert on particles, but they do move when you animate. Just look at some smoke and fire anims. that is particles with halos.

Yes, I know, but them I couldn’t make it looks so… furry

I couldn’t make it look like anything :x

That’s where you are wrong. Like I said, Lyubomir made a clever script using GetRawFrom Object and Blender210 edit mode access to refresh the static particles. That should give you enough clue on how to do it.
