Then why were some many German cathedrals damaged during ww2? Trying to miss churches or civilians is not always possible in war.
Anyway, its a fictional animation. Who says that there were no amo, or any other threatening stuff stored in the church. Use your imagination.
It can be an excellent animation, I would really like to see the end result.
I like your signature. my deviantArt signature is “Peace is when the power of love overcomes the love of power.” - Jimi hendrix
anyways, i do agree with you, you never know what there could be inside a church (i mean, in Call of Duty there are several different levels with churches stuffed with panzerfausts and what not)
also, maybe they are terrorists? ever think of that?
ummm srry cant say anything i cant download the file this is actuly my grandmas coumputer so can you plzzzzz post some quick renders or an animation that would be sweet but from those pics looks nice clean modeling keep up the good work
oh and ozo… chill dude
I know this might not be the place to ask but I have to; hey Flipster how did you make the wall break in the first animation. Do you think you could tell me because I need to learn how to break something. I put up a thread but I got no answer or replys a lot of them said that it was emposible to simulate an explosion.
WeedMonkey13 here you go. If no one sends you one here you go
pretty sweet
If it’s agianst war rules, and we all know that every terrorist and country ALWAYS follows the rules, to bomb a religious structure then churches and mosques would make one helluva shelter.
As much as I enjoy the modelling in this animation, I think it’s the composition that keeps me watching. The animation of the planes in relation to the camera movement is just entertaining, and keeps me enjoying it the entire time.
I noticed a couple suggestions were made about the plane that crashes into the rooftop. Is this plane crashing because it’s hit by the AA guns? If so, you may want it to react more before hitting the building. Ideally something like a wing being hit and breaking off as the plane barrell rolls uncontrollably would happen, but that could add a lot of avoidable time if the planes weren’t modelled for that.
I hope there’s still work being done here because I’m really enjoying this.
Also, on the controversy topic, I can see how someone would find bombing a church to be a problem. I can also see how using a mosque instead would cause a problem. That being said, there is a major difference between religious statetments and historical accuracy. Many churches were destroyed during World War II, and the war crimes that have been described involved no mention of destroyed religious sites.
Of course, the idea of placing soldiers on the rooftop probably never happened during WW2 because a church this size would be a historical landmark and would be probably be saved for that reason. The historical accuracy here is a little shady, but nonetheless churches were bombed during WW2. There is no ill-intent in the work of the artist here prompting any type of restriction on his work, and regulating this thread in any way would just hinder the progress of an artist with a lot of potential.

There shall always be political correctness so there will always be critics for this piece. I see no problem with the concept, the artist had no intent to upset anybody so for me It’s an amazing piece.
Pity about the activity of this thread, i’m sure this should be getting much more attention than this.
Hope you don’t lose motivation because i’d sure as hell would love to see this finished
