Animating a hose and hose fitting along a path

Hi,
I followed this tutorial:
http://www.rab3d.com/tut_blen_2-63_hooks.php

And got a nice hose and fitting with a tangent connection.
For an animation I’d like to move the whole thing along (inside) another, bigger hose.
The bigger hose is open on one side to show how the fitting plus small hose move along inside)
Like a camera mounted at the front of a long lead, inside some flexible tubing.
But I can’t seem to animate an empty along a path (‘follow path’ constraint works, but gives weird effects for the rest of the curve)…

Any ideas?

Hi, Is this is what you are after?: CurveRigTest5.zip (2.6 MB)

Hi,
Not there yet…
I’ll put up a file with the first steps done.
https://mediviz.nl/tijdelijk/TubeTest.blend

If you select the empty in this file and move/ rotate it the first part of the hose will follow nicely.
I’d like the blue ‘fitting’ plus the purple ‘hose’ to move inside the green hose.
And this in such a manner that the fitting wont deform and the purple hose will stay attatched nicely to the center of the fitting and with constant tangency…
I hope that it’s just a simple setting or order of things that I’m missing here…

Looks like I’ll head in another direction with this.
Adding a rig with a bendy bone to the front of the hose works…
