Animating Hoses Using Curves & Hooks

It’s been a while since I have written any blender tutorials, but today I have put together a short tutorial on rigging hoses for animation using hooks and curves.

Its based on an excavator model I completed a few years ago and the technique maintains good end tangency of the hose.

Hopefully you will find it useful for hoses on your mechanical models, or even veins on on cyborgs.

I curious, is there a way to make a curve rig so that the curve has a constant length? Would that require special scripting?
