animating static particle hair

maybe i’m daydreaming but i remember once being able move/rotate an object with static particle hair and it responded in a physically correct manner with lag/spring action… is this/was this ever possible?

p.s. i know i can manually achieve the effect using animated wind/vortex forces, but nothin beats the laziness of having it done for you :wink:
