hey you should put up a link to the muffin lady too,…she’s in the animation subforum. I may do this one,…sounds fun.

DOH! Oh, man, you’re totally right. This is 10 days into the contest, but I also did post a date one week later. Dumb, dumb, dumb. That’s what happens when I try to run the contest while on the road
Okay, change of plans. Everyone has until the 13th, as posted. You also have my apologies for being such a flake.
On the bright side, we should get a lot more entries for this topic, which is a pretty cool one.
Robertt, naturally, feel free to do whatever additional stuff to you animation.
In a way it was good to find out (at the time) there was suddenly so little time because it probably helped push this piece along
I spent a little more time on my entry, adjusting some of the camera passes and car motions. Also added some miniature drivers and increased the frame rate by 5fps. Still very basic, but it mostly conveys what I had in mind for this exercise.
In all I’d say about four hours of work on this. Rather than spending any more time on this entry though, I might revisit another idea I had for this contest if I can fit it into the extra week.
Hopefully we’ll see some more entries too.
BTW, what codec did you use for your animation? Windows Media Player isn’t showing it (says "error downloading codec’).
Hmm, I use Xvid, which is a free implementation of the Divx codec. You can try viewing it in VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/), or try installing the 3ivx codec(http://www.3ivx.com/download/), which seems to work for most things.
