Blender artists should be wary about wasting time on contests run by Eyeka Singapore. Eyeka recently held an animation contest for a 30 second video about “fame”. Two weeks before closing, the rules were changed ! Anything was now allowed: anything made at any time, any budget, any topic.
Not surprisingly, the contest was won by a video that ignored the contest rules: a silly 60 second video of a fellow running in Singapore holding a bunch of balloons (not an animation). It looked like 60 seconds was the amount of time it took to film on a mobile phone. It was renamed yesterday to 30 seconds running with balloons.
Anything goes in Asia !
