Hi there,
I’m currently working on some CG for a documercial by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. What you can see below is a view of the “Iosono”-Studio, a pretty revolutionary sound-system which will likely end the era of THX and Dolby (you would agree once you heard it ).
To visualize how the audio-engineer can actually place sound-sources anywhere I modeled the two guitars (it has to be guitars because in a previous closeup of the monitor the guy moves two virtual sound sources named ‘guitar 1’ and ‘guitar 2’) which are then moved through the room.
It’s important to know some facts before evaluating this shot:
- the masking of the guitars is very rough here, because it will actually be done in the post (on my beloved Avid DS 8) ).
- the quality of the source-footage (the background) is very, very reduced. The actual material is HD 1080p. I got this frame from the PAL-offline-version.
Any ideas for improving the look are welcome.
