Very cool. I like the way his hand is twitching as he sleeps as well as the mouth movement. Now about the water this is not a crit but a suggestion, slow the wave motion down a bit seems like maybe something hit the water or something and is too mobile, by slowing it down some I think it will look better. Very nice animation so far though.

Cool! water is not so bad! Character is cool, but doesn’t have much contrast with the environment (i.e. it is almost the same colour :))

Why are there waves when there is no wind? Make the tree look like theres a breeze then the water would look ok?

very cool though!!

Nice work kaktuswasser.

I agree with pofof on the water movement. Definitely tone it donw a bit. Also agree with TrOj@n about the trees and wind idea.

His right foot is intersecting with the ground as well. Not sure if that is intentional, but I did notice it.

The hand movements are great, as pofo already pointed out.

Good stuff. You are getting better and better at this with every one you do.

just saw that foot-thing as well… hehe…
@water: okok… i’ll tone it down a bit… but i am not sure on the tree-issue… it would be pretty complicated to animate them…

thank you very much for your comments!

P.S.: as usual: c&c is welcomed!

Very nice, very nice! I like the environment: can’t judge the character because he’s not clearly visible in the shot, but I agree that he has a little much contrast more than the background. Maybe you could light a bit the shadowed areas…
But the insect is really fine.
Good work!

Didn’t know I’d replied to this thread

Great animating kaktus. will he eat the insect?

thank you,but i wont tell you any more about the story :stuck_out_tongue:

Gaah! [holds head] the suspense, I can’t stand it! [runs out into the snow, screaming]
Ok, maybe not quite as bad as that  But I do look forward to seeing more.

anybody else?

I still think that you should animate the tree! or at least the branches!

i’ll do it at the end , when the character animation is finished.
