Animation playing with audio

Hello, my friend and I are trying to make a 2d animation and we’re having a difficult time trying to find a way to assign an animation to specific audio cues. We’re both pretty new to using blender, so any tips will be greatly appreciated!

I’m afraid it’s not entirely clear what you’re asking. If you’re having trouble pinpointing the junctures where you need to align the audio with the animation, you need to enable “scrub audio” in the audio buttons. then when you advance frame by frame, you’ll hear the corresponding bits of audio.

Sorry, to clarify, we are starting a podcast and we have an animation to indicate who’s talking, and we’re having a hard time trying to figure out a way to assign the animation to our voices, without having to go through the entire piece of audio and animating the heads whenever we speak.

I can’t think of a shortcut for that.

If your voice and the other persons voice are separate audio tracks, I believe you can convert audio to an F-curve then use that to animate whatever value you want.

Not sure if this is a good tutorial or if it works in newer versions but there are plenty more

Don’t use it myself… but somehow the name stucked into my memory

for real time… there might better suited tools… ??
