Animation prevents particles from moving


I have a robot guy raising his arm (at frame 250) which shoots some fire (from frame 300 to 400) with particle system.

If I set the fire to start at frame 1 when the robot is not moving it works all well but when the fire is set to start at 250, the point when the robot starts raising his arm, the global gravity effect of fire doesn’t work. The fire borns and dies during its 75 life but stays still, doesn’t move along the Y-axis like it should.

So… Why does the action edited robot armature stop my global gravity effect of fire?

Have you adjusted the particle system’s bake area, which defaults to 1 - 250?
