How do I make it so that there is no background, and only the figure when I animate something? I want to use it with actual video I took, and I want to use only the figure. 
Set your format to RGBA (using an output format that supports it (sequence of png files or targa files… or, if you’re on a Mac, one of the Quicktime codecs that supports an alpha channel).and in Render settings, use Premul or Key. I prefer a sequence of pngs.
