Annoyed with "Waiting for d1.openx.org..." for 30 seconds each page load

As the thread title says… I’m very annoyed with the browser status message showing “Waiting for d1.openx.org…” for 30 seconds every time I go to a new page on the forum.

In these days of almost instant browsing it is incredibly annoying to wait for 30 seconds for a forum page to load because of the poor performance of this ad server.

I fully understand the need for advertising on Blenderartists and truly hope that the expenses of hosting this fantastic site are more than covered by the advertising revenue. :yes:

Is this interminable waiting a result of a bug or is it necessary? Does anyone else have to wait 30 seconds for a page to load because of this ad server?

Ok, so it seems to be performing quite quickly now, but I just had a period of time where for about 20 minutes every page that loaded had to wait literally 30 seconds for the ad server.
