Probably because the scale of the curve is 0.155 instead of 1. CTRL_A to apply the scale will solve it.

If you scale up or down, rotate etc anything in object mode… allways apply control+A ( scale, rotation etc )… if possible allways scale and rotate object in edit mode. It can end in really bad surprise and unpredictable result then with modifiers and some tools who will refer to the dimensions scaling, rotation and location ( mirror modifier, bevel etc )

This is right - It will solve the scale but it will not solve the Bevel deept - Before You go in Edit Mode -

N - Panel - Transform tap - And set the Mean Radius to 1 - Too

It should give the same Deept…Puff puff

i meant to scale the size of the things at the ends of the curve.

i must have scaled the whole thing
