That’s what I made of it.
and this

Is what it is. The logo itself. As you can see I need to figure out how to color the end result. I did that with Vertexpainting, but that doesn’t show up when you render it. and the text dissapears when I do the vertex painting…

Anyways. I will figure that out.
Just C&C please

Okay, haven’t got a replie on this yet, so I wonder if it has been looked it.
I was wondering, if anyone could help me out a little. I am working on this. (Haven’t been working on it for two weeks or so. and started again today)

And I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
Questions:
How do I rotate the camera around this object. so that it looks like the object is pivotting around it’s own axl.
how do I set an axle for the object…
(About that I couldn’t find anything)

I have problems coloring it in the right colors. at the moment I am using the one you see above cause that is a finished version with texture.
(About that I CAN find alot but it doesn’t seem to work out)

Also, once colored and having it rotating. How can I make it so that when it starts the color is still gray but when it’s rotated fully it’s colored.
(Just an adding question I want that to be the finished project. But I’d be happy just having it colored and rotating…)

I have all these Idea’s and I can’t seem to work them out… HELP! please? :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay, Let’s see if I can help.

How do I rotate the camera around this object. so that it looks like the object is pivotting around it’s own axl.
how do I set an axle for the object…

the object has it’s own axis in local space - visually you see this as the translator widget when it’s on. If this is one object, you can hit ‘center new’ to get the center in the ball park of the axis, but you may need to select a ring of verts in the middle, then Shift-S to snap cursor to selection, then tab out to object mode ‘center cursor’ to get the center where you placed the 3d cursor. This position can be key framed with ‘I’ on rotation, then you can advance some frames and R to rotate, Z to rotate on Z axis, then keyframe with ‘I’ on rotation.

I have problems coloring it in the right colors. at the moment I am using the one you see above cause that is a finished version with texture.

On the other post , I detailed how I set vert groups first, then set materials to the vert groups. You will need to select the whole bunch of verts that make the top brick, make it a group named’topbrick’ or something like that, hit assign, then next to that you can hit New under 1 mat 1, which makes 2 mat 2 come up - hit assign while that topbrick is selected. Go to the F5 panel and hit the button that says 2 mat 1 and make it 2 mat 2 - then a change to the material color will reflect on only that vert group. Practice makes perfect, so save your file under a test name until you are happy with where you are.
It took me awhile, but after some repeated use I got the hang of it.

Also, once colored and having it rotating. How can I make it so that when it starts the color is still gray but when it’s rotated fully it’s colored.

This is doable, but practice the vert groups and materials first before following this step - you need to have seperate vert group materials before going further.
I would keep the grey material as a fake user so it will be accessible later. You start with your file ready and colored at the finish frame, and hover your mouse over the material F5 panels - press ‘I’, and you can keyframe the RGB values of the material where they are. Then the solution is to go back to frame 1 and change the materials in each group to the same as the fake user, and key with ‘I’. Rendering test frames at start and finish should show the results, and test a frame in the middle to see the effect changing

Okay, I hope that makes sense to you, and remember to try this out on a simple example first before applying it to your finished work - it’ll save you the triouble of loasing your head

hehe, THANKS alot! for your help. I think it will be working soon now.

Very helpfull indeed. I still have the ball and bricks to begin with without the text so I can start on testing it with that.
Thanks alot. again.
