Kudos for tackling a difficult topic and working to bring the concept into image form. Because of the angle, and maybe lighting, I had trouble reading the depth of the various planes (Z=0), namely the floor and what I determined is a window sill. At first I thought the sill was at ground level below the bed and the actual floor blended in roughly with the desk because of the dark lighting. This may or may not be an issue because of the choice to have the camera pointing straight down is an interesting one compositionally.

The character and pose, slit shadows from the window, and blue-bathed room are the best bits for me.
