Any chance of Blender getting better text face beveling abilities like Cinema 4d?

Here are some examples of things I have no idea how to accomplish in Blender regarding text Beveling.

Blender’s text bevel relies on a second spline object. In the text properties panel, twirl down the Geometry settings, and select a spline object to bevel your text.

It takes a bit of practice to get the relative orientation of the spline object right.

I do hope that the new bevel graph feature will make its way into the text object. The bevel modifier does not work correctly with text objects or even extruded curve objects.

It feels inconsistent, and is in need of an update.
