Any idea how to support Blender community?

I am new to Blender. I discovered it for myself 3 months ago, I really regret that I did not discover it for myself earlier.

And I constantly think about those wonderful people who had a hand in creating such a wonderful product, and continue to improve the product tirelessly.

I think about how we can support them?

Let’s see if anyone has any ideas on this. Maybe we can come up with and organize support for our favorite product!

Of course the best support is money :moneybag:. But how can we help to collect those money?

Maybe some campaign? 1$ donate every month?
We are millions.

Perhaps someone has other ideas? Share them. How to help developers make Blender even better

Have a nice day, everyone!

There is a support donation system here.

Thanks for information. Actually might be you wrong understand me. ( English not my native Language as you may be guess already).

I mean any idea how we can found more ways to support ( for example. On Blender Artist web site register the most rated blender artist)

What if we choose a theme. And everybody who like to participate may create NFT project ( hundred arts in one style) transfer the to admin and sell them. All money transfer to lender community. Just an example. Might be another way and people who have better ideas

  1. Report bugs to the bug report.
  2. Use the Blender logo.
  3. Hypocrisy does not allow the local community to talk about money and earnings (something like - we love money but we will not let you earn it here), and therefore earn on the side and share.

Why not just a button to donate to them? Instead of this nft bullshit …

Idea with Logo great!!!

You can’t use the Blender logo for such activities, you need to use the Community Badge as defined here: https://www.blender.org/about/logo/

Making money with Blender is not frowned upon at all, including by the Blender Foundation.

I think this is the answer - if you want to support the BF, do it on a personal title. No need for ‘projects’ and even less for NFT’s to let one individual gather cash and then donate that to the BF.

Among shareholders, this is called “wash your hands before lunch.” That is, your money can be from anywhere, even from selling people, but we will not allow you to earn here. Wash it first, then give it to us. I understood.

I just told you that you’re allowed to earn money here and anywhere in the Blender community. I don’t understand your point or why you’re being so bitter.

Typical nft nonsense.
Looking for a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist or already has an existing solution. With the existing solution being the same or even more efficient.

Just use the donate button on the official blender.org site.
No need for third parties or an unknown middle man.
I personally love Blender. So I give my measly $6 a month. It’s the least I can do considering all the use I’ve gotten out of it. NFTs have too much public relations baggage whether you support them or not.

I’m all for a campaign to encouraging everyone to donate through the official site.

Encouraging to donate to a 3rd party to hold then donate is asking for a rug pull scam. And also wastes resources. Just give directly.

If you make nfts; then sure donate the money you get to blender.

All we noted.

My question was from good intentions. I was hoping to find like-minded people, because I think that Blender provides great opportunities and we should be grateful to those people who provided us with such opportunities and help them in every way we can.

promotion and popularization of the product and, of course, money too.
