Any Ideas

Anyone have any Ideas on creating lightning in Blender of coarse? If so if it’s too complex a possible blend file for reverse engineering? :slight_smile: Thanks all in advance…

I find the best way is to make a sort of skeleton mesh out of lines, subd frac a few times and give it a halo material

But I heard that people are using the l-system tree generator (i can’t remember where to find it) and then turn the “tree” upside down to get good lightning

Selleri has a nice lighting tutorial at http://www.selleri.org/Blender/ It is in a pdf format.

Sometimes a simple animated marble texture will do the trick. I depends on how much detail you need.
