Any project based tutorials?

Heya, I’m a long time forum lurker always looking to see what you all are doing with blender…and envy you since I can’t do anything yet. :stuck_out_tongue: I’m really interested in using blender now that 2.30 is out. The interface change is really nice.

I really want to get to know Blender and I’m anxiously waiting for the 2.3 manual to come out but I was wondering if anybody could tell me if there are any project based tutorials out there? For instance, the Maya Saavy book I have takes you step by step and shows you how to model a rocket and animate it blasting off with particle effects. I know the 2.3 guide’s description said it has step by step guides but I can’t wait a whole…2 months or so to start. If there aren’t any tuts out there like this can somebody point out any worthwhile modeling tutorials? I want to either do Box modeling or Point by point modeling…not really interested in Nurbs and I understand that isn’t one of Blenders strong points anyway. Thank you for any help!

Good deal, thank you very much for the links. This should keep me busy/happy for a while.
