Any way of downloading the noob to pro guide to computer?

I know that the guide is constantly evolving but there are times right now when I don’t have internet access.

What is the easiest way of downloading the entire wikibook to my HDD? I don’t want to get the databases backups of the entire wiki website.

Is there a software tool that could do this?

I think there is a *.pdf floating around somewhere. You may wish to search this forum - I downloaded this [massive] item sometime ago but took it off my laptop due to memory issues.

Hi!

Yes, I already have that, thanks anyway. I was specifically looking for the noob to pro wikibook.

You can create your own in a short amount of time with a built-in feature on Wikibooks.

In the Noob-to-Pro wiki, click on the “Create a Book” link on the left. Then go through every link in the wiki that you want, clicking “Add this page to your book” (at the top). (btw, hitting ‘backspace’ to go back to previous page after adding the page may save you some time)

Once you’ve gone through all the pages you want in your book, click “Show collection (x pages).” You can add a title, subtitle, and drag-and-drop / delete sections if you wish. Then you have the option of ordering an actual book, or downloading a PDF or OpenDocument.

This “Create a Book” method adds a Contents section to the front of the document.

BUT before you do all this, you may notice others have already done this, and shared their Wikibooks collection. Visit these pre-made collections and you can click “Load collection” and edit it before you download a PDF.

Here’s the whole list of collections-- look in the “B” section: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Category:Collections …one of those Noob to Pro’s may be better than another, I don’t know, I didn’t review all of them.
