Any way to create 2 columns of Properties Tabs?

I just found this community and it looks great - lots of good content!

I have a question that I haven’t found any answers to on Google.

Is there any way (settings, addons, tricks) to make the Properties Tab on the right of the main window 2 columns instead of one… to give the tabs some breathing room, make things easier to read, and handle a large number of addons?

Thanks for any help you might have

Did u try putting your mouse over the corner between the viewport and the outliner than clicking and dragging left?

Thanks

That suggestion will give me extra viewports, but as I’m trying it, it doesn’t change the single properties column of tabs to two columns. I’m looking for a way to display more or larger tabs.

It works both ways … Do as @AviIfrah24 suggested …then set the window type to Properties… Click on the Far LEFT ICON for Editor Type…then click on Properties…it is the same way you open the Asset Browser, Geo Nodes, etc…

Of course, doing so shrinks the 3d viewport, so you need to learn the basics like open the 3d viewport full screen to work/ collapse to get back…etc…

What you want is in the menu pane with the right-mouse button pressed: Duplicate Area into New Window.
Having a two-monitor setup is best.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, but I think I wasn’t clear in my question.

Since I talk better with pictures than words, I’ve attached an edited screengrab showing what I’m looking for. I hope it’s readable and makes sense.

hi, it is not something that everyone wants… also, addons are generally activated during a specific work, so in general, the tools panels only includes what you are using now…
a double column wont be the option, in the sens that it will never be enough, anyway.
Take care, bye

While what you’re looking for isn’t possible, there are ways to organize the N panel in a much better, cleaner, fashion. Specifically, I mean the Simple Tabs addon:

This will vastly reduce the number of tabs in the N panel, allowing you to read the labels without them being cut off

Thanks josephhansen! That looks like it would be very helpful. I’m going to give that a try.

I knew I wasn’t the only one with this issue.

Best,

If it’s any testament to how well that works, I’ve gone from 16 n panel tabs to 8 using that add-on
