Anyone from Texas that can answer this dumb question?

K, so I am having this dumb argument with my brother about Texas’ driving policy. He thinks you have to be a resident and go through six months of having your permit to get a license.

Now, I heard otherwise.

Anyone got the scoop on what it takes to get a license in Texas?

backtrack if you need to for more info…

From that page:
“Applicants under age 18 must hold an instruction permit or hardship license for a minimum of six months prior to issuance of a provisional Class A, B, or C driver license.”

And of course you must be a resident.
