hi,
has anyone got openCL working with an Intel pc?
i cant find an intel driver, but i hear AMD’s drivers work on intel. either way i have no idea what i’m talking about, but i REALLY want SLG
equally if someone could tell me this is impossible that would be great.
thanks guys,
derek
Intel does not have any graphics card with OpenCL support. Only Nvidia and AMD (ATI) does…
Is there any official OpenCL support for Intel videocards and are they powerful enough to make a difference? Usually the interactive-speed stuff they show on youtube is done with very expensive hi-end cards.
hmmm…
oh well ill live without it
For Intel PC you said, do you mean card or CPU? If you are running an Intel CPU and an ATi(AMD) vid card you can download the driver for the card that includes the ATi stream technology bundled in the download (it says OpenCL on the driver). nVidia you’re talking CUDA, I believe, Intel cards nothing. So the way that you worded your original post, yes you can run OpenCL on an Intel PC, I do, but I have an ATi Radeon HD 5770 vid card with OpenCL drivers, which used to be components from the ATi Stream technology SDK bundle. If you have an Intel vid card, then no, you can’t, as far as I know.
I installed drivers & the sdk & opencl works with my ati hd 5650 chipset.
