Anyone interested in making some 3D Animations together? [Amateurs]

Hi,

I’m looking for about 5-6 people that have a passion
for 3D animations. We’ll most likely be using Youtube, to upload
our massive project. Don’t worry if you are horrible at 3D Blender,
because will be teaching and helping each other out with tutorials
that we will find on the web.

What is this project about? Anything, whatever we want to make.
Each one of us should create a separate Youtube channel,
and then we’ll upload the final project to a Main Youtube Channel.

I’d prefer amateurs because we’re all
just starting out, but if you have a lot of experience,
then that’s fine.

The whole point of this is, is that I’m searching for people
who have a strong passion for making videos.
I’m looking for people that experience with sounds,
video editing, 3D animations, 2D animations, Art-drawings,
e.t.c.

Please reply on this forum, if you are interested. If you

This is not just a call for 3D animators, but writers, artists, musicians … we just want to start something, no matter how difficult it’s going to be.

Oy vey, are people really this bad at selling their own ideas? Like AKIRA_B asked What is the project about?..The answer of ‘anything’ kind of makes this seem like a hastily concocted idea that is enthuisatically embraced one day only to be ditched the next.

Except, I am prepared to go all the way.
I will not ditch something for another opportunity.
I plan on creating awe-inspiring videos, with
dedication and non-dilatory progress.

Nobody sets out on this things to abandon them or to make a piss poor movie, but poor planning certainly leds to that. You don’t even have an idea of what it is you want to do and that is rather alarming. At the moment you are just throwing out clichéd catch phrases like ‘awe-inspiring’…If you need more catch phrases you could try epic, awesome, jaw dropping.

I have seen people make movies on this forum countless times but the usually have an idea of what they want to make.

You are right, we don’t know what we are going to create. This is because I want to get enough people together and
then discuss what we’ll make. This is an ‘Open Project’. Poor planning? No, we are very organized.
If you wish to torment me, then stop, you are just wasting my time :frowning:

I think you’ll have a better time of it if you were to come here and ask us politely what may be the best way to proceed with organizing a project.

Most of us don’t really mean to be harsh. It is just that we have seen it all so many times. And frankly because many of us have way more experience with this than you do, we actually know better.

What happens is you (and so many others) come here with this bright idea and you are asking for help.

Well believe it or not, you are getting it. You are getting the help you need. Perhaps not the help you thought you needed.

But it is a great testament to the patience and well intentions of many of the people here. You may not realize that there are literally dozens of posts just like yours every year. I figure at least once or twice a month we get one of these. That you are even given the time of day at all, you should be thankful for.

That is not meant to be snobbish. In fact the opposite. You really should be thankful because there are people here with tons of knowledge willing to share. By the frequency of these posts you’d think people would just let it die.

If you don’t blow them off - which happens all of the time also - then they’ll be glad to help you.

This typically happens because people post without knowing enough about what they are doing in the first place.

There have been thousands of words written on this subject here. The knowledge base is extensive. There is plenty to learn just about organizing a project. Any kind of project. It does not have to be professional. It can be amateur, educational, anything. But it should be conducted in a professional way.

Probably the first mistake is to try and gather a group together and have the group make a decision about what to do. It should be democratic. But there needs to be some sort of leadership. A direction.

Organizing a website or forum is not enough really. There has to be something more substantial.

If you really do want it to be something that is beneficial to all, then have a good look at this first area - the area of organization.
