Simpler versions of this have been done in the past, even before GLSL was an option if I recall correctly.
They should still exist somewhere on the forums.

sorry going off topic… how do you port a 2d filter? im no programer, but actually have the time, if it isnt Pro Programers Hard, maybe i can take a shot at it.
Myselft am just basic scripter. Is it really the same method as martinsh?
A 2d filter is just a glsl code.
