Anything like MAX's Mesh Insert script but for Blender ?

Just saw this thing not too long ago:

http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/mesh-insert

which was inspired by Polystein for MODO: http://pushingpoints.com/v2/the-pushing-points-polystein-kit-for-modo/

and I am wondering if there is something as robust for Blender (in works or existing).

Like this guy work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcEyVliO4qY

I’m not really sure which part you’re asking about. Like, you’ve been here for over 10 years, so I’m sure you’ve heard about booleans by now.

I mean if the thing you want is a clean merge of the topology, using Bridge Edge Loops should do it.
Asset Mangement has a thing for loading (and booleaning) objects.

Maybe that thing the person above me posted is exactly what you’re looking for but honestly, I can’t see what’s special about the things you posted that can’t be done already in Blender, beyond a little bit of automation ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yep, something like that. The workflow of this looks a bit odd  Have you used it?

Maybe if you bothered to watch videos for MAX/Modo plugins, you wouldn’t be making your post. You can’t do what those plugins do in Blender with boolean.

Select faces.
Select object from a list
Remove faces, then fill hole with object.
Connect edge loops between the two objects.

Was the videos showing something else?
Because the only detail about that, which Booleans can’t do (as-is), is remove a face where a hole is in the boolean object. Like merging a torus with a cube (and having the middle hole not get flattened by the cube’s original face)

But again, like I said in the last line (little automation but can already be done)
¯_(°_o)_/¯

There is a free(I think?) addon “asset flinger” which is a asset library which will place new objects at cursor location, the rest could be scripted, could use snapping to surface and orientation. Make the new objects with origin on or just inside bottom face, and boolean, easier placement could require mesh cleanup.

or place the new object, after placement delete faces, deselect all, select non-manifold edges, bridge edges, then scale new object to fit, that could all be scripted into a button.

I see that the community has not evolved

I know that stuff can be scripted, I know how to do it manually. That was not the point of my OP. I need to have this tool to speed up my workflow, paid or free. If there is no such tool, then all that would be needed is “no dude, no such tool available for Blender”.

No dude, no such tool available for Blender (•_•)

If you had clarified that you were looking for either the exact things shown, or exactly which parts of it you were looking for, people would be less likely to try guessing (or ignore) what your request is and then try to (or not) provide a way to do so.

Yes dude there is such a tool available and its hedgehog connect like the first answer in this threat suggested. It has exactly same workflow and its like a copy of that max tool anyways.

Edition, maybe you should reign back your ‘helpfulness’ a bit, as it seems to quickly turn into hostility.
As Fiendish says, there is such a tool, and I think the OP was clear enough in what they wanted. So: question answered, thread done?

To clarify, I was not suggesting that motosep script anything, just that there are addons available that already do 90% of what is required and it shouldn’t be to hard or take much time for someone to slap together a solution, if he asks in the addon forum he might be pleasantly surprised. I was going to have ago myself just for a bit of practice, not bothered now.
